Owning a soldering iron can be hard sometimes, but it doesn’t have to be. This should prove to be enough. Does the level of wattage make for a better soldering iron? We would probably say that the answer is no. The wattage gives the soldering iron the ability to heat up an object. You want to have a respectable amount of wattage, but be warned that having too much can end up burning out other components. You might boil your flux before it ever gets the chance to clean certain components.
So what is the best amount of wattage to have for your soldering iron? I would say that if you are an average user, try to go for no more than 45 watts. If you are a solderer that has a bit more experience, then you can go for about 60 watts. Keep in mind that these are just my recommendations, you can decide to go with whatever amount you feel you need.
